What psychology(?) career does this description apply to?

A counselor of some sort?
That works with people who have like… ADD/ADHD, anxiety, or depression. The kind of counselor that helps people work out social or personal life issues. Or problems amongst a family or between two people.

NOT the kind of counseling of schizophrenic folks, mentally retarded folks, or like… severely crazy people.

I’m trying to figure out what specific job or area in psychology/psychiatry this stuff applies to.

psychology career with the highest salary?

I’m interested in psychology, and I’m in an undergrad program at Cornell University’s human development department. I plan on going to grad school to get a phD, but i’m not sure what I plan on doing for my career. I want to have a job I enjoy, but one that also makes a high salary. What career in psych will bring in the highest salary? (I’ve heard of sports psychology, clinical etc.) any ideas?

I can’t decide between these two Psychology career paths?

I’m an undergrad, and I’m trying to decide whether to try to become a clinical psychologist or a neuroscientist and do research.

I enjoy giving people advice and helping them through their problems. At the same time, I want to research autism and other abnormalities of the brain.

I love psychology, chemistry, and biology. I’d appreciate any advice that anyone has to give.

Thanks in advance.

What branch in the psychology career should I take?

I like working with kids because they are much easier to control, but I want my career to do something with special education or with people with autism. And if you can, can you tell me what kind of degrees (or whatever you call them) I need. I’m in middle school and I want to start getting prepared. Thanks and , of course, 10 points for the best answer.
