I’m torn between three majors that I love equally: Psychology, Sign Language, and Peace Studies. Of Sign and Psychology, I’m not sure which to choose as a career: Sign interpretation or Psychology, particularly marriage counseling or therapy. Because I love them both equally, I looked up salaries. For marriage counseling, a website told me average salary is about $32,000 ( in 2001).
Is this a good yearly pay for living in Southern California?
What kind of careers can you get in psychology with a masters degree? I know that if you have a Ph.D you can do private practice, can you do private practice as well if you only have a masters? Also, I heard that if you plan on going for at least your masters, you need to enroll and get accepted, into the university/college’s masters program. I have been dedicated to becoming a psychologist when i’m older and plan on getting a Ph.d. I know the whole dead about getting your Ph.d means bachelors, then masters, then Ph.d, then a residence. also, if you plan on going into the psych field, is it only worth it if you get your Ph.D?
I have always been intrigued by the mind and why people do the things they do so I am going to college next year and am considering the different career fields I want to get into which is psychology or philosophy but I am concerned about what jobs will be available when I graduate with a major in one of those two things so if you can mention any ideas for both areas I would appreciate it immensely and I would preferably not have to stay in one place and be able to travel and have some free time with these careers but I am not sure if that would be possible but please suggest some ideas, thanks in advance.
These are the courses I am really good at and I want a good career so can you guys give me some suggestions of some careers I can get with these courses at a college or university level?
I know this will be a hard question to answer, but I’m undergraduate student in college, majoring in psychology. Recently I added my minor to film & media studies. And I really wanted to get a job that involves with these two but they don’t really have connection..
p.s. Also my other interest is music! hope this would help answering my question 
and just curious – who are the people who help people who have anorexia/bulimia and all that?
